Leave it to Garrett to Cause Problems

Hello Everyone....and yes it's my birthday, but does not feel like it AT ALL!!!  Garrett was doing so good after surgery yesterday.  He was eating lots of ice cream, pudding, jello, drinking and trying to play.  We spent most of the day watching movies but he got up a couple of times to play with toys in the floor.  He said he felt good and has been sleeping really good.....then came this morning.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!....with a 103.8 temp!!  I was pretty worried so I called the doctor.  She said to watch him for a few hours and if he didn't perk up them bring him to the emergency room.  He was so lethargic all day.  He laid on the couch and didn't do a thing.  Didn't want to ice cream (he would drink for me though, so I was thankful for that!!), didn't want to play, wouldn't even talk!!  He was so white and pale.  Josh came home early and we decided we'd better take him in...it had been 8 hours since his fever and he wasn't getting any better, although his fever did go down.  We decided to take him to our pediatricans office to avoid the ER....didn't work, the pediatrican took one look at him and sent us straight to the ER!!  After a few hours of observation and IV fluids they decided to admit him.  His temp in the ER was 102.6.  They aren't sure what's going on, hoping for it's just a post-op reaction.  They said he looks really good but they didn't like how lethargic he was and his fever being so high....he was so lethargic when they started his IV he didn't even move....he just laid there.  VERY SAD!!!
He has perked up now and hopefully we will have an uneventful night and go home in the morning.  Please continue to pray for him and a quick recovery!!  We love you all and thank you for all my birthday wishes and prayers for Garrett!!
PS...I get redo's on my birthday!!
