Blogging How I've Missed You

I was looking for a particular picture that I couldn't find on my computer so I started going through the blog looking and got caught up in all the memories I have totally forgot about.  The sweet picture of Haylee as a baby, our 1st family vacation to Seattle, Garrett starting kindergarten.  The blog is such a great place to record our family life and have it go back.  Since having Natalee and moving to Oklahoma and I have....lets just say gone drastically down on my blog post but I really want to change that!!  I don't want to look back 10 years from now with all those fun things we're doing now forgotten about!!  So here we go!!

As most of you know we are now living and planting roots in Owasso, OK...Home of the Rams.  Owasso is about 15 mins NE of Tulsa with a population of about 30,000.  Even though we are so close to Tulsa, Owasso has just about everything you could ever need right here.  We have Walmart, Target, JCPenney, Kohls, shoe stores, grocery stores, just about every kind of restaurant (including SEVEN fried chicken restaurants!!!  Tell me WHY does a town of less than 30K need seven fried chicken places?!?), TJMaxx, Ross, and so much more!!!

The kids are doing great.  Growing up and getting big.  We live in a GREAT neighbor with TONS of kids!!  They kids love playing outside with all the other kids!!  We have a neighborhood pond where Garrett can fish and a neighborhood pool and we utilize a lot in the summer!!

Garrett is in 4th grade.  He turned 9 in June and is still full of so much energy he doesn't know what to do with sometimes.  He has been playing the piano for a little over a year now and loves it.  He has tried football and soccer but has decided he would much rather just play outside with friends instead of playing on an organized team (which is fine by us)!!  He loves riding his bike, scooter, roller blades, doing flips on the trampoline, and of course when he's allowed playing video games.

Haylee will be 7 in February and started the 1st grade this year.  Little miss toothless is a Diva (yes that's diva with a capital D....so please start praying for us now!!).  She loves dancing and playing with her friends.  She is starting piano this week which she is very excited about.  She is learning to read and doing great in school.  I call her my diva tomboy because is girly-girl to the MAX but is right there with the boys riding bikes and getting dirty...just with a little bit of an attitude.

Natalee turned 2 in May and she makes me thankful everyday we are NOT having anymore babies!!!  As sweet as she is she keeps me on my toes and keeps us all laughing!!!  She had such a rough and slow start in life but is very quickly catching up.  She talks so much and loves to "big" kid right there with Bubba and Sissy!!  She started dance class this fall and LOVES it!!  She ask everyday, "I go to dance class?"  She will also attend the same Mother's Day Out program two days a week she did last year.

Josh is doing great.  We moved to Oklahoma for him to work for Aspen Dental but in January he started with a new local office that works with public health.  He loves that this company is not all about sales and profit and they help with student loans so that is always nice!!  He has more vacation days and more freedom as well.  It was defiantly the right move!!!

I still consider myself a stay at home but took a part time job working nights in our local emergency room.  I am able to choose my own schedule and only work the nights before Natalee goes to Mother's Day Out.  I am home to get the kids ready for school, I take Natalee to her school and then I am able to sleep a few hours before picking Natalee up.  I'm home when the big kids get off the bus and able to cook dinner and be apart of the family.  I usually only work 1 day a week and it's a great time for me to get away and feel like I'm doing something!!  I know that I'm doing something really important with three tiny humans everyday but this way I get the best of both worlds!!  Can't beat that!!!

So that's an update in a nutshell on the Sorenson's!!  More to come!!!
