Fun at Grandma & Grandpa's

While we were having our couple's weekend the kids went to my parents house for a FUN filled weekend!!  I was a little bit jealous of how much fun they had!!  My parents kept them busy!!!  They went and watched fireworks, went to a water park, went to the farm (AKA my grandparent's house) where they got to shoot arrows, ride the four wheeler, and see cows, camp outside, roast hot dogs, fly kites, go fishing, and who knows what else!!!

My parents wanted to look at the stars and point out different things but as soon as the kids got in bed they were out!! 

All of the kids slept until 9am the next morning after my parents brought them home!!!

Garrett is EIGHT

Garrett turned EIGHT last month!!  I can't believe how big and grown up he has gotten!!  Don't get me wrong he is ALL boy and immature as any other little boy but he is NOT a little kid anymore!!!  He LOVES playing with friends!!  He definitely has my outgoing personality!!  He loves legos, superheros, star wars, wrestling, weapons and annoying his sister (Haylee...he still adores Natalee).  

Garrett was really battling over his birthday theme this year.  He couldn’t decide between Mad Scientist, Nerf Gun War, or Lego.  I talked him into Lego because I’m not sure any many more years Legos are going to be “cool” for him!!  But while he was camping with Nana & Papa and I kept getting text after text of the fish he was catching and how much his day revolved around fishing I had a brilliant idea…..a FISHING party!!  Although he would have LOVED to take all of his friends actually fishing I knew that would have probably ended in the emergency room with a hook in some kids eye so we kept the “fishing” party to the food and decorations!!  The party itself had nothing to do with fishing but he loved it anyway!!

Summer Fun

Hope you’re ready for A LOT of pictures!!  We have had an awesome summer so far!!  The summer started off a little slow….mainly because I didn’t have any big kids to make it crazy which was awesome in itself!!  But since they got home we have been CRAZY, but in a good and fun way!!  Swim lessons, church playgroup, summer camp, playdates with friends, and our favorite POOL TIME!!!  Our neighborhood has a pool and we LOVE it!!!

 One afternoon (while Garrett was at camp) Haylee had the pool all to herself....she got bored really fast!!  Thankfully some new friends showed up!!

Our church has so many activities for the kids to participate in!!  It is awesome and great way to meet people!!  Every Tuesday during the summer they have a “playdate”.  They have a schedule of where to meet at what time on Tuesday and whoever can make has a BLAST!!  The last one was at Natalee’s Sunday school teacher’s house.  They had a slip-n-slide, horses, and a baby pool.  The kids LOVED riding the horses!!

Natalee is really coming along.  She will be 14 months on the 22^nd and although she is not walking yet she knows how to get around!!  She crawls everywhere, pulls up, and is starting to stand.  You can tell that she doesn’t like to walk and or stand very long (the orthopedic surgeon said that would happen) but she is doing GREAT!!  She LOVES being around the kids.  Every morning she wakes up she just smiles and laughs when she sees everyone!!  Her favorite song is “If You’re Happy and You Know It!!”

Over the 4^th of July the kids (ALL THREE) went to my parent’s house for the weekend and we had a couple’s weekend with my sister and Steve!!  Steve and Lindsey rented an RV at Quartz Mountain near Altus, OK (about 4 hrs SW from Tulsa).  It was so much fun!!  We hiked (AKA rock climbed), roasted marshmallows every night, swam in the lake, and of course had to play Settlers of Catan!!  What a great weekend!!

Our neighbors (and of course friends) invited us to their church family messy event!!  WOW!!!  It was pretty awesome!!!  They had all kids of really really really messy activities set up for the kids!!  A chocolate syrup water slide, face painting, dunking for oreos in a bucket of milk (Josh wouldn’t not let the kids partake in that event…..& Garrett was GLAD!!), attaching Cheerios to your face with syrup, marshmallow fight with different condiments, bubble bath,  shaving cream twister, and so much more!!!

While Garrett was had church summer camp I put Haylee in a Tiny Actor's camp!!  She LOVED it!!!  It was so much fun watching her!!
