Garrett wasn't too sure about this tram...it shook and was kinda scary!!

Jody enjoying both of her grandbabies

Nana and Papa came to stay with us for a few weeks. Mainly because they missed Garrett and Haylee but also to help me out while I worked for a few weeks. They were a great help and allowed me to be at peace while I worked full time to get the hang of my new job. Garrett absolutely loved being the center of attention and having his "personal play toys" back. They mainly stated home while they were here. Garrett dragged them all over the house....in the backyard, in his room, watching TV, or going for walks. They bought Garrett a big tricycle and Papa spent many hours going back and forth teaching Garrett to peddle and get the hang of riding it and it is TOO cute!! Garrett LOVES it!! I'll have to get a video of him riding and post it later this week. Haylee loved having someone else cuddle with her. She is such a cuddle bug!! While they were here they took Garrett to the zoo one Saturday. Garrett had a blast. Haylee and I didn't feel good so we stayed home. We also went to eat lunch with Josh one day. We parked at the bottom of the hill (remember his school and the hospital are on a hill) and rode the tram up. It was breathtaking!! Here are a few pictures.

Using a sippy cup!!!

Haylee is 7 months old now and is using a sippy cup like a big girl. She also started to scoot which is pretty cute. She's slow but can get what she wants. That's different than Garrett. Garrett got up on his knees and rocked for a long time then one day just took off and there was no catching him....we still haven't caught up with him. She also said "da da" for the first time today!! That was really cute!! She is growing up!!!

Well Garrett started preschool today and it was kinda sad!! He's not a baby anymore and he knows it!! He had a blast and loves going. He got to paint, color, play with stickers, and they read a story. He goes to preschool on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-11:30am and on Tuesday while he's at preschool they have a Ladies Bible study I go to with childcare for Haylee...that is a blessing!! I'm excited for him. He's going to have a lot of fun and learn a lot about interacting with other kids and having to behave. Here are some pictures of Garrett throughout the last 3 three years!!

Our Dentist

JOSH IS A DENTIST....well kinda!! He's been working in the clinic some this week, instead of going to lab. He said they are just practicing on each other. He seem to really like it. You know Josh, a man of few words, but he hasn't said anything negative about it and he comes home in a good mood, so I assume it is going well. He works really hard and puts in long hours but seems to always have time for us which is a real blessing!!

An update on Garrett

He wanted to dress himself and this is how he came downstairs!!

He wanted to make cookies...don't worry I was helping him!!

I wanted to write a little about Garrett. I'm always updating about Haylee because she's changing so fast, but Garrett is growing up before our eyes! Garrett is 3 years and a quarter and is a COMPLETE MESS!!! He is very much like both Josh and I.....he is into everything, TOTALLY friendly to EVERYONE, stubborn, talks back, LOVES to ARGUE, and full of energy like his mother and thinks he's always right, stubborn, hates to talk on the phone, tunes you out and wakes up early like his father!! Despite all those qualities he is SO MUCH fun to be around. We are ALWAYS laughing when he's around. He is always making up things he says...for example today I told him and I didn't get a hug from him and he gave me a hug and then said "SHABAM, Mama, you're it, tatkitu!!" just like what he was saying made complete sense!! He has a memory that will blow your mind away!! He told us the other day what we did on Halloween LAST year!! He is incredibly smart! He starts preschool this year, two days a week for a couple of hours in the morning. He is really excited about that. He is also doing really good health wise. We had his 3 year old appt the other day and he weighs 30 lbs 2 oz which is the 40th % (we are SO excited about that) because he has NEVER been over 10%!! He was also 3 feet and 1 inch...I don't remember what percentile that was...I was too excited about the weight!! He is such a good big brother. He helps me (sometimes), but has NEVER shown a jealous bone when it comes to Haylee and he is usually SUPER gentle with her. He'll talk to her in a high pitch voice and when she cries he'll tell "Haylee, Mommy is going to feed you in just a minute, don't cry pretty girl!!" He is a blast! Well I need to get because I hear banging down stairs and he's alone with dog!! OH MY!!

Having fun with my kids

Haylee LOVES her exersaucer

He is actually laughing really hard...NOT screaming
although he does make our house quite a bit louder

They are both watching Imagination Mover's

Little Missy is going to start crawling soon!!

Josh went to the beach today for a conference (I wonder how much tuition is going into that?) so it's just me and the kids today. I wanted to take some cool pictures but three years usually have their own plan so I just took one cool one of Haylee and then plain jane ones of them interacting and watching tv (yes Haylee was watching it too....the Imagination Mover's were dancing and singing :) Garrett is excited tonight because he gets to sleep in bed with me tonight. That's our deal, when Daddy's not home, he can sleep with me...my mom use to let us do that when my dad would go out of town and I remember being so excited!!!
