Fun in the Sun

This summer has been so gorgeous!!!  It has been in the mid- 80's everyday with the lows in the 60's!!!  PERFECT!!!  It's warm enough to go outside, swim, go to the park, but NOT burn to death!!  The kids have been playing outside all day.  They LOVE it!!  Haylee is getting so big too....I can clean, cook, cut coupons downstairs and she'll go outside and play with her brother.  The picture above is Garrett with Grant and Blake (brothers and probably Garrett's best friends).
This picture was taken the day after Haylee's seizure, so we let her have her pacifer.  She still wasn't feeling very good and it was the only thing that would comfort her!!

PS.....EVERY mom should invest in a bubble machine!!!!  AMAZING!!!  No more mess, no more blowing with no results and over 10,000 bubbles in minutes!!!  $10 at Target!!

Hamburger..............cake

We had a birthday bash at our life group Wednesday to celebrate Josh's birthday along with Jenn and Aric (two other members of our group).  The menu was hamburgers so why not make hamburger cakes!!!  They were a huge hit....almost gross looking because you knew they were cake, but cake with american cheese.....GROSS!!!!!    Don't worry the cheese was fondant, the bun was a cupcake and the meat was a chocolate cake ball, with some "cake ketchup, mustard, and lettace" (according to Garrett)....aka colored frosting!!

Happy 25th Birthday, Josh!!

Josh's birthday is day and he's the BIG 25!!!!!  CAR INSURANCE GOES DOWN!!!!!!!  YIPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!  It really wasn't any other day for him....he was gone before we woke up, he got home aroudn 6pm....but then we had CAKE!!!  YUMMY!!  We had a couple of friends over for dinner, cake, and ice cream!!  Happy Birthday, Josh!!!

Haylee was coloring on the paper that Garrett was practicing writing his name for Daddy's birthday card.  She was very proud of herself and it occupied her for a good 15 mins!!!

Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and chocolate gaunche, topped with chocolate covered strawberries.....can you say diabetic coma???
Garrett was a little freaked out by all the candles...just wait until he's 50!!!
Garrett was dancing to the card he got Josh!!  It was singing, "That's the way you like it!"

Please Pray for Haylee

We are asking you guys to keep Haylee in your prayers.  She has been sick on and off for a couple of months now.  Her hemoglobin (part of the red-blood cells carries oxygen) has been pretty low which is common and usually caused by not enough iron in the diet.  We have been giving her iron suppliments for 6 months but her blood levels have not improved....she has also ran periodic fever with peeling of her hands and feet.
The last couple of days her fever has come back along with the peeling hands....and yesterday she had a seizure.  It was caused by her fever which means that it rairly causes lasting effects and does not mean she is going to have a seizure disorder...her body was just reacting her fever going up too fast.
She is also refusing to eat (3 days now) and is extremly fussy.  When asked if she has an "owie" she CONSISTANLY touches her stomach and cries.  Her belly button is also produing and is really red.  We are at a loss and not sure what is going on.  She is still wanting to play and is active.  She is also drinking a lot so I'm not worried about dehydration.  We are going to let her heal over the weekend and see what next week brings us.  Please just keep our little girl in your prayers.  Please pray that God heals her body and the doctors figure out what is causing all these biazzare symptoms.  Please also pray that she has no more seizures and her fever will go away to give her mommy and daddy peace of mind!!  Thank you!!

White Coat Ceremony

Josh had his White Coat Ceremony today.  It's a ceremony symbolizing their achievement of "leaving" the lab and "entering" the clinic.  The first year of dental school was primarily spent in the class room and lab, where they learned the basics...the 2-4th year is primarily spent in the clinic taking on real patients....where they will need a WHITE COAT!!!

Schwisow Family of Four

Some good friends of ours had their little baby boy last week and I had the privilage to take pictures of this beautiful family today!!  I LOVE learning how to take pictures with my new camera and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to practice!!

Thank you Will and Suzanne for letting me capture your beautiful family!!!
