Christmas with Family

Christmas time!!!  I must say Christmas is a stressful and crazy time….WOW!!!  I am in a little way glad it is over but we sure did have fun!!  Lots of driving, lots of family, lots of events, and lots of fun!!

My sister told us about these AMAZING Christmas lights in Tulsa (well actually Broken Arrow) and we had to check it out for ourselves….SHE WAS RIGHT!!  They are by far the BEST Christmas display we have EVER EVER EVER seen!!  They are put on by Rhema Bible Church and there are over 2 million lights that are arranged to music!!  You can walk, drive, take a horse buggy, or even see them via helicopter!!  It was icy and cold when we went so I wasn’t able to take very many pictures but it was awesome!!

Garrett and Haylee both had school events….Haylee’s pre-k group invited a “special person” to come make Christmas ornaments with them.  I got a babysitter for Natalee and made 8 ornaments with Haylee!!  Then later that afternoon Garrett’s class put on a Christmas program!!  It was too cute!!   I loved seeing him with all of his friends!!
take note that is Evie (aka Haylee's best friend) working beside her

We decided to do Christmas with my side of the family the weekend of the 13th (we were supposed to run a half marathon but it was cancelled due to an ice storm the week before….LAME)!!!  It was really nice just hanging out and not doing anything!!  We woke up Saturday morning for the Grandma & Grandpa Christmas and GRANDPA CLAUS CAME!!!
 I love this picture!!

Natalee opening her stocking

My dad got Garrett a bow & arrow....better watch out!

What a fun weekend!!

In the midst of all this Christmas fun…..my Grandpa had to have surgery.  With his age and condition of his heart we were not sure what the outcome would be so my sister and I (and Natalee) took a day trip the day of his surgery to see him and be with my family.  The surgery ended up going GREAT and it was nice to spend a little adult time with my parents, sister, Grandma’s, and aunt….even if it was in a hospital.
Natalee was a good distraction

This picture makes me teary every time I see it!!!  He loves his baby great-granddaughter!!

The kids got out of school Friday the 20th and as soon as Josh got off work we headed to Clovis.  We went through an ice storm on the way which was kinda cool!!  The roads weren’t bad yet so that was good.  We made it to Clovis around 12:30am and everyone did great!!
It was nice spending time with everyone.  We played games, talked, made cookies, laughed, went to church and of course had Christmas!!

Visiting friends

 Making Christmas cookies.....

Leaving the reindeer some food....and they saw Santa's lights in the sky!!

Haylee left Santa a note (Garrett wrote it for her), a toy truck and a mint.....

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!

Haylee learned to snap....and now she snaps anytime she's HAPPY (which is ALL the time!!)

....Santa found his gift!!!  If only we had a video of Haylee's reaction!!!  It was too cute...very dramatic!!!

You can see what she cares about!!

Playing with Christmas toys!!
