We had so much fun tonight "trick or treating." Garrett knew what was going on and had a blast. We had Megan and her husband Aaron over for dinner and then walked up and down our street trick or treating. The last picture is a video of Garrett and Sophie at our house. I wanted to get a video of them and it was too hard to do it in the dark...they looked at me like why are trick or treating with you...it ws still cute though.

Halloween Party
Pretty Snow White Sophie
"NeeHaaa" Cowboy Garrett
James the Fireman and Haylee the Ballerina
Pretty Ballerina
Garrett's preschool had a party for the kids. All the kids dressed up and played games, ate candy, cookies, and were harder than ever to put down for a nap after it was all over, but they had fun. Garrett had so much fun. The other kids are Garrett and Haylee's friends, Sophie and James. Megan (James and Sophie's mom) and I have become good friends. They live right down the street from us and we take turns watching each other's kids and have a lot of fun together. Megan and I both attend the ladies bible class on Tuesday during preschool. Sophie is in the fours class. James is almost two.

ZOO fun!!
I felt like he could just jump right to me
Pretty sleeping baby
Yesterday we went to the zoo with our friends Megan and her two kids, Sophie and James. We all had so much fun!! We both have year passess for the zoo so we just enjoyed ourselves and left when the kids got tired. It was a nice day to be outside and not very many people were there! Garrett really enjoys being around other kids.
Sophie goes to the preschool Garrett goes to so Megan and I carpool by taking turns taking the kids. It's been really nice. Megan and I have become good friends. Her husband works a lot so we are in the same boat, no husband + two small kids + work parttime = CHAOS!! We have fun together though.

......let it rain
Since we have been in Portland the weather has been wonderful and gorgeous...minus that two weeks of 107 degree weather WITHOUT air conditioning...but as of yesterday the rain has begun!!! Take a look at the forcast....this is what you'll see
I have been walking with a neighbor of mine at 6am a couple times a week before the kids get up (she has three) and today I did something I thought I would NEVER do....walked an hour in the pouring rain!!! It really wasn't bad though...I really didn't want to but I thought to myself....if I don't walk in the rain....I won't be walking for the next 9 months!!! I put a hat on, a sweatshirt and then a rain jacket over that. I didn't even feel wet!!
WELCOME TO OREGON!!!

FUN, FUN, FUN
Haylee loves eating SO much!! Everytime we eat she watches us and looks at you like please give me a bite...it smells SO good. I started reading about letting babies eat table food instead of baby food (be smart about it of coarse). In the articles I was reading they had pictures of babies eating pears so I decided to give it a try. SHE LOVED IT!! Here are a couple of pictures eating her pear!!

Happy Birthday Nana and Pumpkin Patch
Today was not only Nana's birthday, but Garrett's school had their first field trip to a local pumpkin patch. He had so much fun. All the parents are required to go if their child goes because there is not enough helpers for 40 three and four year olds!! We met at this farm and go to take a Tractor hay ride out to the pumpkins. There was a field of them and it was SO pretty outside today. Garrett wasn't happy at first because he thought they were going to be little baby pumpkins, but he finally settled for getting Daddy and great big pumpkin (I think it was the biggest one out there and I had to carry it the rest of the day!!) and then I bought him a baby pumpkin back at the farm. After all the kids picked their pumpkins the farmers talked to the kids about growing stuff and they got to go in this shed with TONS of potatoes. It was pretty neat. Garrett called it a potato mountain!! We had a lot of fun today!!
