Spring break has ended and we are ALL feeling it!! We had such a fun spring break spending time
as a family and we did SO much. After
our weekend get away/camping trip we came home, rested a day and went back to
the coast and rented a little camping cabin (big enough for 2 bunk beds and a
futon…LITERALLY!!) for a night. It was
SO much fun. It felt like camping but
there was no tent and we were warm!!
While we were there we went crabbing with our friends and had a
blast!! It was rainy and cold but SO
MUCH FUN….oh and the crabbing didn’t go so well either! We were only able to keep 4 crabs and they
said usually they are catch so much they don’t know what to do with them. Oh well it was awesome anyway!!
Ready to catch some crab!!
Getting comfy
Haylee dressed for the cool weather
These are the little cages you put bait in (chicken or fish) and throw in the water. The crabs can get in but can't get out. After a while you go back and pick them up. The only thing is the crabs have to be so big and they have to be male in order to keep them. We were catching all females!!
...and star fish!!
Garrett wanted to hold the crab SO bad but was a little afraid....
...but he overcame his fear and accomplished his goal!!!
Haylee just wanted to pet it!!
Waiting for some males!!
All females!
Cleaning the crab we got....YUCK!
Annie at the beach!! She LOVED it!!! When we first got there and we let her off her leash she took off straight for the ocean...she had a rude surprise when she hit it!! It was hilarious Poor puppy didn't know what to expect!!
On our way home we stopped for at the Tillamook Cheese Factory for some ice cream and Josh reminded me it might be our last time there!! HOW SAD!!!! We sure did enjoy it though!!!
Don't bother looking at my roughness...we were just camping...and do you like Miss Pippy Longstocking's hair!!! She LOVED it!!
We had some friends over Wednesday for Dayloni’s
birthday!! And then Thursday we took the
kids to the zoo and finally saw the baby elephant!!
HOW CUTE!!!
I told you we had a fun week!!! This is how we all feel now....
