Spring Break 2012

Are you ready for this!!  We just got back from a fabulous vacation in San Diego and I have over 200 pictures to share!!  The fam drove 1200 miles south to San Diego and Nana and Papa drove 1000 miles west and we had a week of sunshine, beach, whales, dolphins, and a whole lot of fun!!!  Are you ready for some pictures!?!

The drive there with a break in San Francisco, CA:

We left our house around 4pm when Josh got home from school and drove until about 1am.  We got up the next morning and drove all the way to San Diego with taking a break in San Francisco.  The kids did AMAZING in the car!!  We teamed up potty breaks, lunch/dinner, with needing gas!!   

Hello Sunshine...oh how I've missed you!!

Day 1 in San Diego:  Imperial Beach

We spent the first day just hanging out with Nana and Papa, going to the beach right by our condo, and relaxing!!

Yoga on the beach!!  We saw this lady on the beach doing yoga and then after looking at the pictures it looks like Haylee is too (she really wasn't!!)!!

Day 2: Balboa Park

The 2nd day we went to Balboa Park and walked around!!

The dolphin show was AMAZING too!!  This Haylee wanted to get wet too....but we didn't get splashed!!  BOO...but the show are awesome so that's ok!!

The seal show was funny too, but kids didn't enjoy it as well as Shamu and the Dolphins!!

Garrett is really into sharks right now so he enjoyed the underwater part of the park!!

Day 4: Legoland- Josh and I surprised Garrett with a trip to legoland while Nana and Papa chilled with Haylee!!  Garrett was so excited and it was fun to spend the day with him!!  Nana enjoyed her day alone with Haylee too!!!

Day 5: San Diego Zoo

We went to the zoo today!!  What an amazing place!!!

This monkey did not like the kids!!  He (or she) kept hitting the glass at them!!

The Panda Bear's were awesome!!  They are only in 4 zoo's in the US!!

Day 6: Coronado Beach- 

Today was our last day together so we decided to hang out on the beach and relax before our long drive home!!  It was little chilly and windy but we still had a great time!!

Day 7- Say Good-bye!!

Well that's the end of our fun in the sun!!  Today we had to get back in the cars and drive home!!  We made a stop in San Jose to visit my cousin John and his wife, Donna and kids Annabelle and Henry!!  We didn't get to stay but a few hours but it was nice to visit and meet John's beautiful family and it was a nice break before we got back in the car to continue our way!!

Haylee started getting a UTI the last days in San Diego and only got worse as were on our way home!!  She was so miserable in the car, but we just wanted to get home so she could see her doctors!!  She still had such a great attitude and did so well in the car!!

This was midnight after 17 hrs of traveling!!  She was so happy to see a bed!!

We finally made it home safe and sound!!  Haylee and I made a trip to the ER as soon as we got home and the poor baby has kidney infection!!  After 5 hrs in the ER and 2 shots we finally made it home!!  She is such a trooper!!!

We had a great time and always enjoy going on vacations!!  It is such a nice break from reality!!  It's sad to come home and face real life but that means we'll just have to start planning the next great one....I'm thinking a trip to Hawaii!!
