I worked for days this week....and worked those days to the MAX!! I was suppose to work a 16 hour shift Saturday night and get home around 8am Sunday morning but because of all my overtime and lack of patients they did not need me so I got to go home at 11pm and sleep all night.
Since we had the SURPRISE family day we decided to do something fun. We loaded up in the car along with our coats, boots, and sled's and took a trip to Mount Hood!! The temperature went from 50 degrees to 30 degrees!!! We all had a BLAST!!!
The kids were really excited!! We always see the "snow mountain" from our house and they were excited to go up on and get to play in the snow.
Garrett said that he wished he lived in Arkansas because every time we go to Arkansas it snows (he is remembering last year's Winter Wonderland)!!
There is a big misconception about Portland....we don't get much snow. It might snow one or two days but it's a wet yucky snow and melts the next day. We have a very predictable forecast.....HIGH 52, LOW 49 RAIN SHOWERS.....that's about all we get in the fall, winter, and spring!!
The kids got tired very quickly!! We ended up pulling them up the hills!!
Our friendly snowman!!!
Haylee loved the snow but got pretty cold! She wouldn't stop eating the snow.
After playing in the snow we decided to get some hot chocolate and snack.
Now we are ending our day in watching the movie the Elf.
What a FANTASTIC family day!!
