Through the Eyes of Garrett
Garrett got a camera for Christmas and I thought it would be neat for everyone to see what the world was like through a four year old's eyes, so I created a blog just for Garrett!! It is going to have photos that Garrett took and things that he says!! You can truly see the world through Garrett's eyes!! ENJOY!!

Christmas Season is Here
Well Christmas time is here!! Time for Santa Claus, fun filled family movies, decorated houses, christmas programs, joyful songs, helping the needy, being with family and friends, eating lots of yummy food, giving gifts, going to fun parties, and potty training!!! That's right.....we're potty training!!!!
Haylee will be TWO in 11 weeks so I knew it might be a challenge but we have been stuck at home with Garrett "taking it easy" so I decided why not now!! And she is doing GREAT!!! If we are at home she has NO accidents. She tells us every time and loves going on the potty.....she actually LOVES the chocolate ("PLOPATE" in her language).
We have had lots of vistors these past few weeks. Nana came to visit us in November....she arrive the day after Garrett fell. Which was a HUGE blessing. She was here when we had to take him back to the hospital and he had to stay the night. She was there for Haylee so Josh and I could be there for Garrett. She also decided to stay an extra week to help out with the kids because Garrett had to be so still and it was hard to him entertained and take care of Haylee. The day she left my sister and her FUTURE HUSBAND Steve came!!!
Lindsey and Steve was here for Thanksgiving and came with us to get our Christmas tree!!
The Tractor Ride
Sorenson Family 2010
Garrett thought the tractor ride was fun.......Haylee thought it was too loud
Josh and the tree cutter man carrying the tree
How Lindsey and Steve had to ride home....good thing they like each other!!
Josh with his measure stick.....looks like he got a good one!!
Feeding the goats
Our finished tree
Every year Garrett's preschool puts on a Christmas program where the kids sing songs for all the parents and family!! They are always tunes everyone knows but they change the words.....for example
I'm a Little Green Tree (I'm a little teapot)
I'm a little green tree in the house
Here is my trunk
Here are my boughs
Decorate me now with lots of lights
Then plug me in and watch me shine!!
Afterwards there was a special visitor!!!
Garrett really was THRILLED!! He told Santa Clause he wanted Bumblebee Transformer for Christmas!! Haylee was really excited to see Santa too....until she got a little closer....
She would talk to him if I was holding her. She told Santa Clause she wanted a Barney for Christmas. She finally sat on his lap for a second....I she told Santa not to forget her Barney!!
I curled her hair out!! I thought it turned out really cute. Josh even commented on it when he got home!! If her hair doesn't grow out much before Lindsey and Steve's wedding I think I'm going to do it like this....I have a white tule bow like this red one I think would look awesome with her dress!!
Hopefully the kids smile a little better in wedding pictures!
