Silver Falls

Today we decided to spend some family time together by taking another hike.  We drove about an 1.5 south to a place called Silver Falls State Park.  It is known to have some of the prettiest waterfalls in the state and I think they were true.  It was a typical Oregon day, rainy and foggy but we took our chances and had a really good time.  Silver Falls has over 25 miles of hiking trails, but I saw a picture of South Falls on the internet so we decided to start with that one and go from there. We spent about 3 hours hiking up and down hills....I figured out it was about a total of 5 miles!!  Garrett did so awesome. He loved the "forest" and Haylee enjoyed her backpack. We didn't hear one fuss out of her the entire time!!

Garrett LOVED the logs.  Every log we saw he had to either sit on it or stand on it!!

Haylee seems to really enjoy the backpack.  She leans over so she can look around!  We took turns carrying her....well Josh carried her 90% and I carried her 10% of the time (I would like to the say that my 10% was straight UP HILL the ENTIRE time!!)

Here was North Falls Lookout.  After talking with some people that we passed during the hike, North Falls is the best one, but oh well!!  We were too tired and it was starting to get dark to tackle this falls.  We would like to go rent a cabin for the weekend and do several of the trails.  That way the kids can get naps and won't be so tired but we can cover more ground!!

Prayer Request

Hello everyone. I just got word that a very special person to our family was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. She is an amazing women of God and is very special to us!! PLEASE PRAY FOR HER!!! She is going to have surgery next week and has to undergo chemo. Her family isn't sure about radiation yet. Pray that God heals the cancer in her body, that He is with the doctors as they operate on her, that He is with her as she goes through this trial in her life, and for her family to be supportive and to rely on God through all this!! We love you and we are praying for you!!!

Few Hours of NO RAIN!!

We had a few hours of no rain on yesterday so I decided to take the kids to the park!! Garrett was so excited!! He hates being stuck inside all day. We try to go out when we can but these last few weeks have been NEVER ENDING RAIN!!! Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful and we still love it up here, but I'm ready for a little more sunshine!! It's suppose to start tapering off...ok so maybe that's hopeful thinking (it doesn't stop raining until about May...I think).
Anyway they had a ball!!


It took her a while to figure the whole sand thing out, but she wasn't TOO freaked out about it

Teeth and Kisses

So we went to bed last night with NO teeth and woke up this morning with ONE TOOTH!!!! YEA!!!!! We have our first tooth on the bottom left side!!!

We also have another smart little one on our hands. Garrett and I showed her how to blow kisses for about 30 seconds tonight and when I went upstairs to take her to bed she started blowing kisses. By the time I got the camera out though she wasn't too interested in it again...either that or she was too into the camera. I had to put the camera on the dresser for her to even do and then it still isn't a very good video....sorry....maybe tomorrow we can get a better shot!!

Playing Around

I really want to learn how to use my new camera so I'm constantly playing around with it. 90% of what I take gets deleted but every once in a while I get a good picture!! I also like playing with the pictures on the computer with editing!! It's just fun to play with the colors and stuff!! Here is a couple pictures I've played around with!!


Ok so the first two pictures are pictures I took of Dax (Garrett's cousin) and Garrett over the holidays when we went to Arkansas. One was really good of Garrett and the other one was good of Dax. I was playing around on Photoshop and combined the two!!!

Sorry!!

Sorry I haven't been updating pictures!! Things kind of got wild after Josh went back to school...having to learn all over again how to do things without him. We had a really holiday and now back to real life. I wanted to post this picture..I think it's one of my favorite of the kids....they make each other laugh ALL THE TIME!! They definatly have a love for one another that I hope can never be broken. Well I just wanted to let you all know we are alive and keep on scrolling down I posted a couple more, but I wanted to keep them seperated based on the activity.

Family Hike

Josh had the day off yesterday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It was a nice day (well it wasn't raining) so we decided to go on a family hike!!
